Toys, TV and Autism is a website meant to raise awareness and education about Autism Spectrum Disorder and the deep-rooted role that our society has on its prevalence. The website is built around a soon-to-be published book, The Pied Pipers of Autism. The author, Leonard Oestreicher, MD, presents a groundbreaking and controversial theory which he calls the “The Integrated Theory of Autism.” Rather than blaming vaccines and mercury, he presents harrowing facts which shed light on the social environment in which we raise our children.

"Could infants, videos encourage some babies to confuse people with objects? Could the toys and things that babies see on TV and video be so compelling that some babies lose interest in social relationships? Could this be why so many children today are developing ASD?"

Leonard Oestreicher, MD - September 25, 2011

You can find more information about The Pied Pipers of Autism in the Book section of the website. There you will also find the preface and first chapter available fpr reading.

There are many resources about Autism research organizations and links to other informative sites in the About section. There is also a Blog section where the author will periodically post information and personal thoughts on the subject.
